Incubate!

Ministers of the New Covenant 2 Corinthians 3:1-3

1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on your hearts, to be known and read by all men; 3 and you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

This Thursday, September 7th, 2023 is our last Arise Daughter meeting of the year. In case you're wondering and would like to join us at 7pm, we are supporting new ministry leaders as they get the equipping needed to walk in their calling; we call the gathering, "Arise Incubator."

This is our first full year supporting new ministry leaders and it has been a rewarding walk for us as we watch people bloom and grow.

God trusts each believer to disciple others. In fact, He is banking on it

I'm letting that sink in.

Discipleship is a walk of obedience that humbles, inspires and excites simultaneously.

But, discipleship is messy and lengthy. It takes time and involvement in the personal lives of others. It is not something to be entered into lightly or haphazardly.

And that may be why many Christians shy away from it.

Discipleship.org talks about intentionality in disciple making. We have to be clear that Holy Spirit is guiding us into our calling and equipping so that we can grow into being disciple makers. As Christ followers we are expected to do no less than multiply and Discipleship.org is very helpful in this regard. (Click on the link above to read the article.)

That said, we already have the unmatched example in our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. Read and re-read the Gospels to grasp His lessons for making disciples and then read the rest of the new testament to see discipleship in action (especially Paul's relationship with Timothy.)

We can do this. We MUST do this! Remember (Sylvia) that obedience is what's required. Go to: AriseArtists.com to register and click on the "Event" tab.

Much love as you go forth making disciples! Sylvia
