Affirmed

I noticed something recently as I was setting G.O.A.L's for myself and Arise Daughter for the second half of the year: If I try to move without fully understanding who I am in Christ at that moment while also recognizing Holy Spirit's power and presence in the process, I find that there are limits to what I see myself accomplishing. It is at times like these that God the Father reminds me, "daughter, it's not by your own power or strength that ANYTHING you set out to do will be accomplished anyway." As my pastor puts it, we are flashlights without batteries as long as Holy Spirit is not in the mix. So, when my will is A,LIGNed with His, AND I have faith in His power and might AND I believe that I am who HE says I am THEN and only then can He use me to accomplish what it is He has set before me; Because it is then that I am attuned to the voice of Holy Spirit.

So, let me pass along a few affirming statements for you to hang onto this week as you start afresh to accomplish God's will for your life today and throughout the week. Keep Him as close as He keeps you and He will supercharge all that you put your hand to in Jesus's name:

  1. You are united with God and one Spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17

  2. You are reconciled to God and a minister of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians. 5:18-19

  3. You are God's workmanship born anew in Christ to do His work. Ephesians 2:10

  4. You are God's co-worker. 1 Corinthians. 3:9; 2Corinthians 6:1

  5. You are one of God's living stones being built up in Christ as a spiritual house. 1Peter 2:5.

  6. You are chosen to bear fruit. John 15:16

  7. God works in you to help you do the things He wants you to do. Philippians 2:13

  8. You can ask God for wisdom and He will give you what you need. James 1:5.

Have a blessed week and much love! Sylvia
